Eligibility and Requirements● Open to undergraduate and graduate students worldwide, including Taiwan.
● Each team must consist of at least 3 students and 1 advisor.
● Participants can be from different departments or universities.
● Individual participation is limited to one team only (advisors exempt).
Award MechanismEnergy & Sustainability — each category offer a
Champion Prize of TWD 1,000,000with an additional
Grand Champion Prize of TWD 1,000,000 sponsored by the Paujar Charity Foundation.

7.45 million TWD(approximately 230,000 USD).
※ Prize money will be allocated as follows: 20% to the advisor, 80% to the student team.※ Prize amounts are stated in TWD; for international teams, the USD equivalent is calculated at the exchange rate on the remittance date.

1. Apply for a contest account in the registration section.
2. Click the verification link in the confirmation email to activate the account.
3. Log in with contest account and complete the registration information (“Team Information”), which includes:
(1) Project title, names of team members, student identification, and other personal information
(2) Project proposal and attachments submitted in PDF format (each file within 10MB, maximum of 5 files)
(3) Summary Table of Project Descriptions (Including team profile, motivation and development process, research objectives, project description, and expected outcomes)
(4) Project Introduction Video (Please prepare a video in MPEG-4 format with a maximum duration of 5 minutes.)
4. Notes:
(1)Participants are required to specify the contest class and technological field of their project within the registration portal on the website, utilizing only the
English language.
(2)After the registration deadline, the following changes are prohibited: team members, project title, and the contents of the project proposal with attachments, except for special reasons
approved through an application submitted by the team's professor.
(3)If a team's work was selected as a finalist in the past, it is required to articulate the technical differences and innovations between the current work and previous submissions during the
briefing.
(4)Entries that encompass products already commercially available to the public are ineligible for consideration.
(5)All submissions must respect intellectual property laws and ensure no infringement on the rights of third parties. Should any violation occur, the implicated parties will bear full
responsibility; the contest organizers will not be implicated.
(6)Upon thorough verification of team details and project information for completeness and accuracy, the organizers will send a “Registration Successful” notification via email.
(7)By registering for the contest, teams agree to authorize the organizer to use their submitted project content for promotional purposes without compensation. This includes the right to publicly display, edit, reproduce, or publish such content on various media platforms during and after the contest period.
IV. Review Process: Jun. 29- Jul. 8
V. Finalist Announcement: Jul. 10
The results will be published on the websites of both the foundation and National Taiwan University、Intelligent Service, official Facebook page, Instagram and Threads.
VI. Final Round, Award Ceremony and Networking Dinner : Aug. 19
VII. Information for Finalist Teams:
1. Domestic finalists (including advisors) must attend the Final Round, Award Ceremony, and Networking Dinner in person.
Overseas teams must be represented by at least 1 advisor and 2 students.
Failure to comply will result in disqualification from the contest and all awards.
2. Overseas finalist teams that attend the final contest will receive the following financial support:
(1)Travel subsidy of 50,000 TWD(approximately 1,500-1,700 USD).
(2)Minimum prize money of 50,000 TWD(approximately 1,500-1,700 USD).
※ Travel subsidies and Prize amounts are stated in TWD; for international teams, the USD equivalent is calculated at the exchange rate on the remittance date.
3. The organizing committee provides the following services:
(1)Consultation on accommodation, meals, and transportation.
(2)Full insurance coverage throughout the event.
(3)Arranged visits to Taiwan’s leading net-zero technology institutions or enterprises.VIII. Related Events:
1. Welcome Gathering on Aug. 18.
2. Industry Technology Showcase, Award Ceremony and Networking Dinner on Aug. 19.
3. Net Zero Tech Workshop and Field Trips on Aug. 20-21.
